Samsung unveils new 200MP ISOCELL HP5 sensor for phones

Samsung has unveiled yet another 200MP smartphone image sensor called the ISOCELL HP5, which it claims is the world’s first to feature 0.5µm-sized pixels. The HP5, despite having a small pixel size, is said to deliver bright images in low-light conditions and overall better image quality. The sensor itself measures 1/1.56-inch in size. Samsung notes that it used technologies like Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) and Dual Vertical Transfer Gate (D-VTG) to allow each pixel to capture more light and detail.
